Lydia Vierlinger
Lydia Vierlinger was born in Linz/Austria and is Professor of Voice at the "University of Music and Performing Arts" in Vienna. She performed as an alto-soloist with conductors like Adam Fischer, Rene Clemencic, Martin Haselböck, Adrian Leaper, Kiril Karabits, Jörg Zwicker and others, mainly performing in concerts. She sang at festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, Osterklang Vienna, Haydn Festival Eisenstadt, Klangbogen Wien, Carinthian Summer, Styriarte, Mozartfestival Würzburg a.o., sang concerts in Concertgebouw/Amsterdam, Musikverein/Wien, Philharmonie/Berlin, Palau de la Musica/Barcelona, Grande Scuola di San Rocco/Venice, "Old Opera Frankfurt", at the opening concert of the festival in Perugia, in Madrid, Singapore, Bayreuth, Milano, a.o. She also has already given various recitals, for example in the Brucknerhaus/Linz or the Schloss Esterhazy/Eisenstadt. A number of CDs show her wide spread interests in music: "Händel arias", "Romantic Duetts", "Brahms-Raritaeten", "Almirante - a new baroque opera", Telemanns opera "Pastorelle en musique", "Musik for a church" together with the wellknown Jazz-musician Max Nagl,and a CD with works by Oswald von Wolkenstein.
