| Born in Kiew. Ilia Korol studied violin under Abraham Stern and Marina Iashvilli at the Academy of Music in Moscow. Since 1997 Ilia Korol lives in Austria. 2001 he obtained Austrian citizenship for his musical effort. He appeared with Musica Antiqua Koeln, and performs as a concert master with Joshua Rifkin's Bach-Ensemble, with the spanish baroque orchestra RCOC, Wiener Akademie under Martin Haselboeck and is a member of Ars Antiqua Austria and Clemencic Consort. Korol recorded several CDs and performed as a member of reknown ensembles at the most important festivals in Europe, Asia and the USA.
With Julia Moretti he founded in 2003 the chamber orchestra moderntimes that already appeared in the opening ceremony of the Wiener Festwochen 2004, at the RuhrTriennale 2005 and that was invited to the Salzburger Festspiele in 2006.
